The Limburg (Belgium) based company Bio-Racer has created the latest stage outfit for the German electronic band Kraftwerk. They normally design cycling clothes, but for this special occasion they designed the Kraftwerk stage outfits for the bands new tour.
It was Kraftwerk themselves who contacted Bio-Racer. In the end Bio-Racer only had three weeks time to make everything, because on March 22 the new Kraftwerk tour was launching.
It's not the first time that Bio-Racer and Kraftwerk have worked together. 15 years ago the company also designed stage clothes with fluorescent yellow stripes. Now there are stripes in all colors.
It's rather well known that the Germans are huge cycling fanatics. Especially frontman Ralf Hütter is obsessed with the bike. In 1983 he landed in a coma after a bicycle accident. Just before the accident, the band released "Tour de France ", a song with sounds of cycling.
